Pohang University of Science and Technology(POSTECH)的Prof. Hyung Gyu Park带来题为“Selective Permeation in Low-Dimensional Space”的精彩讲座。
Prof. Hyung Gyu Park is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea, where he has been leading the Laboratory of Nanoscience for Energy Technology and sustainability since 2019 and conducting the Center for Low-Dimensional Transport Physics funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea since 2020. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2007) from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, with the development and analysis of a reformer system for a microscale hydrogen fuel cell and pioneering research on nanoscale mass transport in carbon nanotubes. After a postdoctoral training at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, CA, USA, he joined the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland, in 2009 and received tenure in 2015. His primary research interest lies in nanoscale transport physics and syntheses of nanocarbon- and 2D materials with which to explore nanomanufacturing options for multiscale integration, chem-bio sensing, energy harvesting and storage, carbon nanofluidics, and membrane technology for sustainable industrialization. He received from R&D Magazine, U.S.A., the 2010 R&D 100 Award and Editor's Choice Award in recognition of his contribution to “Ultrapermeable Carbon Nanotube Membranes.” in 2018, he was awarded a quest professorship at Seoul National University (School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) supported by the "Brain Pool" program of the National Research Foundation of Korea.
