Educational Experience

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. Currently an Assistant Professor at Peking University, he leads the Lab for Efficient Application Processors with Post-Moore Devices (LEAP).

Personal Profile

PKU Boya Young Scholar, Huawei Weiming Young Scholar, Beijing Zhiyuan Qingyuan Scholar, three-time recipient of the Qualcomm QualStar Awards, Huawei Best Technical Cooperation Award, the IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award, nominations for the IEEE VLSI/ISCAS Best Paper Awards, nomination for the 2025 Top Ten Advances in China’s Semiconductor research. His research have received widespread coverage from major media outlets, including the People's Daily, Xinhua News, Yahoo, TechXplore and Science News.

Driven by the demand for high-performance computing in AI and signal processing, his research focus on post-Moore device-based circuits and architectures including:

(1) Operator Circuits with Post-Moore Devices: Developing high-performance operator circuits, including a first-principles hetero-integrated Fourier transform system based on memristors, alongside advanced frequency conversion and sorting modules.

(2) Advanced Chip Architecture Design: Designing specialized architectures tailored for AI and integrated communication-computing algorithms, including neural ordinary differential equations, low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, and Polar codes.

He has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers (12 as first author and 14 as corresponding author), including Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, ISSCC/JSSC, IEDM/VLSI, and MICRO/HPCA/FPGA, etc.
