近年主要研究纳米/原子尺度器件,曾研究基于石墨烯的射频(微波)器件,如射频场效应晶体管、共面波导和集成电感等,涉及碳基纳电子器件及其集成的基础理论和关键技术问题。曾主持国家科技部863项目1项,国家自然科学基金3项和教育部博士点基金1项,参与国家重大专项、973项目各1项。发表学术论文60余篇;申请中国发明专利50余项、获得授权的中国发明专利40余项;曾与Narlikar教授合作为英国牛津大学出版社编辑纳米科技前沿丛书一套3卷。
